1. No reaction while connect the touch screen, no trace on “Painting” page.

[A] Try the following steps:

1) Check hardware connection and confirm that
      - The touch screen host cable (USB or serial) is correctly and firmly connected;
      - Cable wrap is not damaged;
      - The entire end to end connection from touch screen to system host is firm and correct.

2) Make sure the touch screen is powered with the correct working voltage per specification, usually between 4.75V and 5.25V.

3) Go to “Device Manager” to see if the Touch Screen device can be found (Re-plug the host cable to see if the device can be detected and disappear from device manager).

4) Make sure the IRtouch driver is correctly installed on your host. Please download driver from the software download page.


2. With proper cable connection, line drawing shows skips, or cursor jumps around.

[A] Try the following steps:

      - Make sure the touch screen bezel is not damaged or blocked, such as by pen or stick.
      - Clean the touch screen edges with dilute alcohol.
      - Make sure the display and touch screen are properly grounded.
      - Remove the touch screen for the display and lay it flat to check if there is any deformation.
      - Contact IRTOUCH support team for more detailed discussion.

3. The touch screen responds to touch, but joggling when drawing lines.

[A] Try the following steps:

      - Try to shield the system from strong EMI interference.
      - Try to shield the system from strong sunlight exposure.
      - Try to remove object obstruction on the screen.

4. No response to touch on some areas.

[A] Try the following steps:

      - Make sure the touch screen bezel is not damaged or blocked, such as by pen or stick.
      - Clean the touch screen edges with dilute alcohol.
      - Make sure all connections are properly made.


5. During line drawing, it shows many unconnected points instead lines.

[A] Try going to “Mode” under IRtouch Control Panel and selecting “Mouse Emulation”.

6. The PC re-start or get blue-screen when connect many touch screens to PC.

[A] The PC power supply is inadequate. A USB hub is needed.

7. A bubble windows pops up indicating “USB Device Not Recognized”.

[A] Try the following steps:

      - Manual update the driver on Device Manager.
      - Please contact IRTOUCH support for possible hardware failure.
